Home Services

Are home services right for you?

If your child's behaviors are interfering with your ability to enjoy family outings, be in the community, or simply get through daily routines, call us.

Many behaviors are typical within a certain age range. Monarch consultants can help you determine if your child's behaviors are age appropriate or not, and can give you tools to reduce the frequency and the intensity of those concerning behaviors.

If you have concerns about any of the following areas, we can help:

  • Tantrums
  • Sleep disruption
  • Feeding difficulties
  • Aggression
  • Self-care and/or toileting needs, including potty training
  • Difficulty making friends or playing with others
  • Obsessive or perseverative interests
  • Difficulty communicating wants, needs, or emotions

What will services look like?

Service programs vary and are individualized, depending on your child's needs and your family's priorities. Monarch staff will come to you and work with your child and family at home or in the community. We also provide center-based services at our downtown Atascadero location. All programs are overseen by one of our BCBAs.

Service programs range from low intensity to high intensity, and may utilize a consultation model, parent training model or intensive intervention model:

  • Consultation: Consultation is our lowest intensity model and typically consists of a few monthly sessions with one of our advanced staff in order to maintain progress and address new, minor behavioral issues that may arise.
  • Parent Training: Our parent training model is integral to all our services and consists of weekly, direct training sessions with our staff to support parents and other caretakers to utilize behavioral strategies effectively.
  • Intensive Intervention: Our most intensive model consists of direct intervention sessions for 2-3 hours daily with Monarch staff. With our intensive intervention model, parent training hours are embedded into sessions.

Who funds services?

We hold contracts with a variety of agencies who may cover the cost of home services for your child:

MediCal (The Holman Group)

Tri-Counties Regional Center (TCRC)

The cost of ABA services are covered by many health insurance plans for children with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Monarch is an out of network provider with private insurance. However, you may be able to seek reimbursement from your insurance provider for ABA services provided by Monarch. We also accept private pay clients.
