We often find ourselves describing our programming as “gentle ABA.” We believe that ABA should be delivered through a lens of compassion and programming should be dignity focused. We adhere to a model that is, first and foremost, supportive, empowering, and effective.
We understand that behavior does not occur in a vacuum, rather behavior occurs within a social paradigm, where each member brings their own learning/behavioral/emotional history that needs to be understood and validated. We prioritize relationship building and connection as the foundation of our programs. We know that safe, predictable, and secure attachment is pivotal to meaningful progress with any child.
We also rely on gentler behavior change approaches like shaping, skill building and behavior regulation strategies. We understand that we cannot force behavior – but we can enable someone to choose.
ABA can effectively support the most complex, dynamic, and severe behavioral presentations, while continuing to be delivered with compassionate care.
